Case study from Heart Failure Policy Toolkit

Community cardiology services, London

29 September, 2015

Imperial College, London offers community-based, specialist cardiology services and diagnostic tests for people with suspected heart problems.

The service offers community-based cardiology tests for people who present in primary care with signs of general heart problems, arrhythmia, high blood pressure, heart failure or shortness of breath.

The service is offered for GP referrals in two different community venues in London, where specialist consultants and nurses provide a range of cardiac diagnostic tests including echocardiograms and electrocardiograms (ECG).
