Anke Kampmann has been working as a cardiology nurse since 2006. In 2012 she completed further training to become a heart failure nurse and initially advised people with heart failure one day a week. During her bachelor's degree, she dealt with people with implanted defibrillators in nursing science and developed patient information on "Living with the defibrillator", the content of which has now been adopted by the self-help association "Defibrillator Germany". She wrote her master's thesis on the topic of “Psychocardiological Nursing”. Since 2019, she has been working as one of the first academic nursing experts APN in Germany in the inpatient and outpatient care of people with heart failure. She is in daily contact with patients and accompanies them throughout their lives with the disease. An important concern is to sensitize nurses to the topic of psychocardiology, especially through teaching events and lectures. As a representative of her professional group, she is a member of various committees at the federal level (e.g. National Care Guideline for Coronary Heart Disease).
