Professor Damien Gruson is Head of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Cliniques universitaires Saint Luc in Brussels, Belgium. He is also a member of the following: the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Research Unit at the Catholic University of Louvain; the Emerging Technologies Division at the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC); and the Working Group on Cardiac Biomarkers of the European Federation of Laboratory Medicine. In addition, Professor Gruson is a board member of the Belgian Thyroid Club and a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Association and the Academy of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry.
