Karolay has been a Researcher for the Heart Failure Policy Network since 2021, and was promoted to Senior Researcher in 2023. She leads on research and engaging the heart failure community to develop consensus-based reports and other advocacy materials. Before joining The Health Policy Partnership, which acts as secretariat to the HFPN, she worked for Genetic Alliance UK. She believes in the need to change the way policymakers perceive heart failure, emphasising that it is not a lost cause at the end of life but rather an opportunity to keep millions of people across Europe out of hospital.
