Dr. Teresa Castiello is a dedicated clinician with over 20 years of experience in Italy, the United Kingdom, and Developing Countries. She graduated with a Medical Degree with honours from La Sapienza University of Rome in 2001 and later specialised in Cardiology at University Campus Bio-Medico, Rome in 2009. Following her specialisation and a humanitarian mission in Africa, she became a consultant at San Raffaele in Rome before moving to London. Dr. Castiello is currently an NHS Consultant Cardiologist and leads the heart failure and cardiomyopathy services at Croydon Health Service. Her expertise lies also in Cardiac MRI and she is internationally certified with the CMR level 3 accreditation performing at King's College London. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Castiello is a member of the Patient Care and Digital Health committee of the Heart Failure Association (HFA) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and holds positions as the Cardiology President and HF Educational Lead of the Royal Society of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Heart Failure Association, and a member of numerous other associations. Finally, Dr. Castiello is the founder and CEO of MIAL Healthcare (Medici Italiani A Londra), a hospital-based service that provides multidisciplinary care with a personalised and holistic approach. The vision of MIAL is to optimise care pathways and enhance the quality of patient care and physician workflow through digital health innovations.
