The Heart Failure Policy Network is delighted to announce the launch of the Trailblazers Hub, an online resource showcasing examples of inspirational system transformation and political advocacy in heart failure. It aims to raise the profile of innovators and foster peer learning across Europe.

Each ‘Trailblazer’ case study outlines challenges faced by heart failure advocates and their response to advance meaningful change in heart failure advocacy and care. The case studies have been developed with input from experts directly involved in the initiative, and include ‘policy tips’ that synthesise the main lessons each initiative has to offer.

The first case studies featured in the Trailblazers Hub include the expansion of an integrated heart failure programme in Barcelona, a call to action for policymakers in Spain, a consensus on heart failure in Portugal and a personalised approach to engage parliamentarians in the UK.

More case studies will be added to the Trailblazers Hub regularly. Examples are selected according to an established methodology with inclusion and exclusion criteria.
